About the Role

For this position the person must be located in or willing to relocate to Cagayan de Oro. 

As HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives in the Philippines that align with the overall business strategy for the company. You will be responsible for implementing human resources policies, programs, and practices, overseeing and managing a performance appraisal system that drives high performance, managing employee recruitment and training programs, owning employee benefits and compensation, managing workplace disputes and legal situations, and managing all HR operations for the country. 

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background in human resources, experience managing people and performance management across all functions, knowledge of and experience in local country operations and labor laws, and experience in implementation of strategic HR transformation initiatives. This role is best suited for a collaborator with a proven ability to work cross-functionally across multi-disciplinary functions in Legal, IT, Operations, and People Ops on both the strategic and tactical level.

The position reports to the Philippines Country Manager.

You will:
  1. Make recommendations to improve, measure, and track overall employee satisfaction
  2. Act as liaison between the company and outside legal and professional resources to ensure that all employment policies follow current laws and regulations
  3. Coordinate country’s people management and manage performance and personal development across all functions
  4. Define and plan out office and space needs across the country and continuously achieve and beat space utilization cost savings targets
Ideally, you’d have:
  1. 8+ years of experience in a human resources supervisory position
  2. Must pay maniacal attention to detail, strong project management and time management skills
  3. Ability to work successfully in an ever-changing environment with competing priorities
  4. Superior communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to haves:
  1. Strong leadership and knowledge in local labor practices
  2. Experience with managing large-scale country work forces
  3. Creative, innovative, resourceful, with a get-it-done mentality
  4. Ability to lead cross-collaboration with project leads from CS, Sales, Product and Engineering
